CLIENT CHALLENGE
Research and learning are significantly more valuable if put into practical use. However, the University of Glasgow’s existing fragmented and clunky processes for academic consultancy did not encourage academic work to extend its reach beyond campus. To establish a dedicated Academic Consultancy Service (ACS), the University needed support in developing clear signposting and streamlined processes to efficiently manage consultancy activities.
WHAT WE DID
We designed and employed a new user-centric process design approach.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED
- Enhanced Efficiency - Through mapping and analysing of existing processes, we developed a new user-centric process design that allows for a more efficient management of new consultancy projects.
- Diverse Solutions - Employing the new process design, we developed over 20 solutions that addressed identified issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Consultation with stakeholders from across the University ensured that a diverse array of issues and needs were taken into account.
