For the past 4 years we have challenged, supported, promoted and celebrated 99 young entrepreneurs across the Highlands and Islands as part of the IMPACT30 programme.
IMPACT30 is a programme we co-designed and tested with one of our public sector clients. We identified an unmet need in supporting young entrepreneurs across the Highlands and Islands. We then helped the client co-design an innovative and highly personalised support programme and IMPACT30 was born. We then delivered the programme and it was genuinely work that was ‘food for the soul’.
As we pass on to a new supplier to take IMPACT30 to its natural next phase, we have reflected as a team on our time with the programme:
- It is a privilege to work collaboratively with our clients to find ‘a better way’ - even if that may make them feel uncomfortable at times
- Stay focussed on the ultimate outcome – in this case, to make a difference to the businesses and lives of young entrepreneurs (and, ultimately, the Highlands & Islands economy)
- Take our own medicine and remember what we taught the young entrepreneurs – stay laser focussed on the value you deliver and don’t get distracted
- Be gracious, respectful and considerate when handing over something that is very special to us - It is easy for all the emotional commitment invested over the years to get in the way when transitioning to a new supplier. We take pride in exiting programmes as well as we start them.
So, we are now saying our Beautiful Goodbye to IMPACT30 but we will never forget the many young entrepreneurs we worked with, promoted, and celebrated over the last few years. Thank you all for allowing us to be a small part of your journeys.
