Mark and Lesley sat down recently (in Alas Smith and Jones style) and reflected on 2021 and their resolutions for Anderson Anderson & Brown Consulting in 2022. Rather than listen to them drone on (they really do think they are funnier than they are!), we have captured some of the highlights from their chat below.
· The importance of a great team. We are fortunate we have an amazing team – talented and good-humoured. We welcomed 4 new team members in 2021 - Susan McElroy, Kirsty Ness, Louisa Bell and Rachel Post. It feels like they have been with us forever and that is a very good thing.
· Both Mark and Lesley have personally learned a lot during the past year – to step back from day-to-day delivery to look after the future, to ‘call it early’ – whether it be about new service lines, new markets or recruitment decisions and finally, to provide more support and guidance to clients and team members rather than rush to try and ‘fix’ problems. As a consultant, our natural inclination is to fix things but sometimes that isn’t what is required.
· They asked themselves what they would like clients to say about our company. It’s quite simple really – AAB Consulting delivers without drama. A wee mention for our love of llamas would also be nice.
· Finally, our resolutions for 2022 – to continue to do good work that is food for the soul for our team members and, in doing so, to grow our business in a way that feels right for us and is in line with our values.
So, as we approach the festive season, we want to say a massive thank you to our amazing team, our clients and friends of Anderson Anderson & Brown Consulting – we wouldn’t be here without you.
